SOLO SINGING

For Juniors and Seniors Category

Category Overview

Solo Singing allows students to showcase their vocal ability, musicality, and stage confidence through an individual singing performance.

Rules & Guidelines

1. Open for Junior and Senior categories.
2. Songs may be performed in English or Hindi.
3. Lyrics must be age-appropriate and suitable for all audiences.
4. No accompanist is allowed. ONLY Karaoke Tracks with no voice.
5. For Round 1 - Online auditions require a 1-minute video submission.
6. No Autotune or mastered tracks should be uploaded in the online video submission round; the video should be raw and without any editing.
7. The audition video could be either portrait/landscape and should be uploaded in MP4 format only.
8. For Round 1, students should send videos in school uniform for online auditions.
9. For Round 2 - Zonal Round, the performance duration will be 2 minutes for Solo's.
10. Participants may perform with a karaoke/backing track and the tracks can be uploaded to a drive link, which will be sent when a student gets selected for a Zonal Round. Additionally, students are to carry the track with them on a pen drive on the day of the event as backup.
11. During the Zonal Round, the participant must carry a school ID Card.
12. For Zonal Round, participants should wear school uniform only.
13. In the Zonal Round, each participant will get 3 minutes to perform, 1 minute for sound check and 2 minutes for performance.
14. Participants qualifying for the Grand Finale will receive separate finale guidelines.

SOLO INSTRUMENTAL

For Juniors and Seniors Category

Category Overview

Solo Instrumental provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their instrumental skills, musical understanding, and performance confidence.

Rules & Guidelines

1. Open for Junior and Senior categories.
2. Participants may perform on any musical instrument.
3. English or Hindi songs/compositions may be used where applicable.
4. No accompanist is allowed.
5. The Audition Round requires a 1-minute video submission.
6. No Auto-Tune or mastered tracks should be uploaded in the online video submission round; the video should be raw and without any editing.
7. The audition video could be either portrait/landscape and should be uploaded in MP4 format only.
8. For Round 1, students should send videos in school uniform for online auditions.
9. Zonal Round performance duration: 2 minutes for Solo's.
10. We will provide a basic setup of keyboard, guitar, and drums as part of an instrumental performance. Participants may bring their own instruments. If any other instruments are required, participants must arrange to bring them and inform us in advance so that we can plan resources accordingly.
11. In the Zonal Round, each participant will get 3 minutes to perform, 1 minute for sound check and 2 minutes for performance.
12. During the Zonal Round, the participant must carry a school ID Card.
13. For Round 2, students should perform in school uniform only.
14. Participants qualifying for the Grand Finale will receive separate finale guidelines.

GROUP SINGING

For Seniors Category Only

Category Overview

Group Singing encourages teamwork, harmony, coordination, and collective musical expression.

Rules & Guidelines

1. Each group must have minimum of 5 to maximum of 12 participants.
2. Open for Senior Category students only (Grades 8–9).
3. Songs may be performed in English or Hindi.
4. The Audition Round requires a 1-minute video submission.
5. No Autotune or pre recording should be uploaded in the online video submission round; the video should be raw and without any editing.
6. The audition video could be either portrait/landscape and should be uploaded in MP4 format only.
7. For Round 1, the group should submit a 1-1.5 minutes of video on the submission link.
8. For video submission, students should perform in school uniform only.
9. Lyrics must be suitable for all audiences.
10. For Round 2, participants may perform with a karaoke/backing track and the tracks can be uploaded to a drive link, which will be sent when a student gets selected for a Zonal Round. Additionally, students are to carry the track with them on a pen drive on the day of the event as backup.
11. Pre-recorded vocal tracks are not permitted.
12. Zonal Round performance duration: Maximum 3 minutes of performance time.
13. Performance timing does not include sound check.
14. Finalists will receive separate Grand Finale guidelines.

General Terms & Conditions

1. Participation is open only to students enrolled in Narayana Schools in Maharashtra.
2. Submitted videos must be the participant's own performance. The videos and information shared through the registration form should be true and correct; only then will the applications be submitted and considered.
3. Any inappropriate content may lead to disqualification.
4. Decisions made by the judges and organisers will be final and binding.
5. Organisers reserve the right to modify schedules, venues, or event formats if required.
6. By participating, students and parents grant permission to use photographs, videos, and performance recordings for promotional and educational purposes.
7. For any queries, the participants can reach out to school programme incharge.
8. Your performance may be recorded, edited, or adapted at any time by FSM in order to:
   • Meet the requirements of broadcasting
   • For promotional purposes
   • On other media platforms
9. The decisions of panel of judges will be final and bind each participant who enters the competition.
