SOLO SINGING

For Juniors and Seniors Category

Category Overview

Solo Singing allows students to showcase their vocal ability, musicality, and stage confidence through an individual singing performance.

Rules & Guidelines

1. Open for Junior and Senior categories.
2. Songs may be performed in English or Hindi.
3. Lyrics must be age-appropriate and suitable for all audiences.
4. No accompanist is allowed. ONLY Karaoke Tracks with no voice.
5. Participants may perform with a karaoke/backing track and the tracks can be uploaded to a drive link, which will be sent when a student gets selected for a Zonal Round. Additionally, students are to carry the track with them on a pen drive on the day of the event as backup.
6. The Round 1 - Online auditions require a 1-minute video submission.
7. No Autotune or mastered tracks should be uploaded in the online video submission round; the video should be raw and without any editing.
8. The audition video could be either portrait/landscape and should be uploaded in MP4 format only.
9. Round 2 - Zonal Round, the performance duration will be 2 minutes for Solo's.
10. Participants qualifying for the Grand Finale will receive separate finale guidelines.
11. In the Zonal Round, each participant will get 3 minutes to perform, 1 minute for sound check and 2 minutes for performance.
12. During the Zonal Round, the participant must carry a school ID Card.

SOLO INSTRUMENTAL

For Juniors and Seniors Category

Category Overview

Solo Instrumental provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their instrumental skills, musical understanding, and performance confidence.

Rules & Guidelines

1. Open for Junior and Senior categories.
2. Participants may perform on any musical instrument.
3. English or Hindi songs/compositions may be used where applicable.
4. No accompanist is allowed.
5. Participants may perform with a karaoke/backing track and the tracks can be uploaded to a drive link, which will be sent when a student gets selected for a Zonal Round. Additionally, students are to carry the track with them on a pen drive on the day of the event as backup.
6. The Audition Round requires a 1-minute video submission.
7. No Auto-Tune or mastered tracks should be uploaded in the online video submission round; the video should be raw and without any editing.
8. The audition video could be either portrait/landscape and should be uploaded in MP4 format only.
9. Zonal Round performance duration: 2 minutes for Solo's.
10. We will provide a basic setup of keyboard, guitar, and drums as part of an instrumental performance. Participants may bring their own instruments. If any other instruments are required, participants must arrange to bring them and inform us in advance so that we can plan resources accordingly.
11. Participants qualifying for the Grand Finale will receive separate finale guidelines.
12. In the Zonal Round, each participant will get 3 minutes to perform, 1 minute for sound check and 2 minutes for performance.

GROUP SINGING

For Seniors Category Only

Category Overview

Group Singing encourages teamwork, harmony, coordination, and collective musical expression.

Rules & Guidelines

1. Each group must have 5 to 12 participants.
2. Open for Senior Category students only (Standards 7–10).
3. Songs may be performed in English or Hindi.
4. Lyrics must be suitable for all audiences.
5. Participants may perform with a karaoke/backing track and the tracks can be uploaded to a drive link, which will be sent when a student gets selected for a Zonal Round. Additionally, students are to carry the track with them on a pen drive on the day of the event as backup.
6. Pre-recorded vocal tracks are not permitted.
7. The Audition Round requires a 1-minute video submission.
8. No Autotune or pre recording should be uploaded in the online video submission round, the video should be raw and without any editing.
9. The audition video could be either portrait/landscape and should be uploaded in MP4 format only.
10. Zonal Round performance duration: Maximum 3 minutes.
11. Performance timing does not include sound check.
12. Finalists will receive separate Grand Finale guidelines.
13. In the Zonal Round each participant will get 3 minutes to perform, 2 minutes for sound check.

General Terms & Conditions

1. Participation is open only to students enrolled in Narayana Schools in Maharashtra.
2. Submitted videos must be the participant's own performance. The videos and information shared through the registration form should be true and correct; only then will the applications be submitted and considered.
3. Any inappropriate content may lead to disqualification.
4. Decisions made by the judges and organisers will be final and binding.
5. Organisers reserve the right to modify schedules, venues, or event formats if required.
6. By participating, students and parents grant permission to use photographs, videos, and performance recordings for promotional and educational purposes.

8. Your performance may be recorded, edited, or adapted at any time by FSM in order to:
   • Meet the requirements of broadcasting
   • For promotional purposes
   • On other media platforms
9. The decisions of FSM and its panel of judges are final and will be binding on each person who enters the competition, and no correspondence will be entered into.
